(event listing)

President Obama proposed $534 billion for the Department of Defense for Fiscal Year 2016, another $51 billion for the war budget and yet another $12 billion for nuclear weapons in the Energy Dept.

In contrast, he proposed about 3% of that amount for all energy programs.  Is this division of resources in line with your priorities?  Join us for an evening of discussion about the relative Ferndale 115_FFLpriority being placed by our federal government on climate security and military security.

Presenter and Panel
Mike Prokosch, a peace activist and educator from Massachusetts, is the co-founder and coordinator of the national New Priorities Network, which supported grassroots coalition-building to make Pentagon spending smaller and smarter in order to fund human needs and conserve the planet.

A panel of environmentalists and others will respond to his talk.  Q & A will follow.

Join us.  All are welcome to attend.new way 04 veggieburger
