TYA’s mission is to work to prevent and reduce juvenile delinquency, child abuse, and child neglect through community involvement. Troy is one of 26 YA offices in Oakland County that gets referrals of youth from the schools, police department or parents. A full-time case-worker works directly with families, but, with the exception of the part-time secretary, all programs and support are provided by dedicated volunteers.
