Pleasant Ridge Prohibits ADUs, Sets Hearing for Parking Permit Discussion and more in Jan. Meeting (video)
(Jay Foreman, City Commissioner of Pleasant Ridge, Jan. 24, 3015)
The January 13 City Commission meeting video is now available on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. An enhancement to this month’s video is a section at the end to list the web sites (or email addresses, phone numbers) that were referenced in the meeting.
For backup materials from this meeting see http://goo.gl/h6aw54. Some highlights of notable agenda items below:
– SCAF Ordinance was amended to allow for improved interest revenue potential (many other details — see backup materials)
– Zoning Ordinance was amended to prohibit Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
– Two members of the community were appointed to the Planning Commission / DDA, Lorin “Lola” Christensen as a PR business owner and Kristi McAuliffe as a resident and PR business owner.
– Public hearing was set for the discussion of ordinance amendments that would allow for residential permit parking (on the east side and where the residents of the street petition for it)
– SCAF loan (1yr term) was approved for the purchase of a new police car. This was an unplanned/urgent purchase because of the many problems that the City has been having with its aging fleet.
