Two Suspects Charged With Armed Robbery in Royal Oak934_8600_Gen-Online_Banners4

The Royal Oak Police Department arrested two (2) suspects for an armed robbery, which occurred on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at approximately 10:50 p.m., at the Bean & Leaf Café located at 106. S. Main.

While sitting at a table in the restaurant the victim noticed a group of strangers standing out in front of the business. Two (2) females from the group walked in and struck up a conversation with the victim and his friend then rejoined the group. A moment later, two (2) male suspects Reid_Sally_115entered, approached the victim, produced a handgun,and demanded the victim’s Cartier sunglasses. After obtaining the sunglasses, the two suspects fled with the group toward the Emagine Theater.

The victim called 911 and reported the crime. Officers quickly responded and detained the entire group with the assistance of Emagine security. Further investigation determined only two (2) of the subjects from the group were involved with the robbery. The victim’s sunglasses and the handgun used in the crime were recovered during the arrest. No one was injured during the robbery.

Suspect #1: Jawson Chappell Ware, a 19-year-old resident of Southfield, was charged with one (1) count of Robbery Armed, which carries up to a life sentence. Ware’s criminal history includes a prior conviction for Larceny.

Suspect #2: Natalian Tyron Ringo, a 19-year-old resident of Detroit, was charged with one (1) count of Robbery Armed, which carries up to a life sentence. Ringo’s criminal history includes a conviction for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and is currently on probation through the Michigan dinos02sidelogo3Department of Corrections in Wayne County.

On Monday, January 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., both suspects were arraigned before the Honorable Derek Meinecke from the 44th District Court. Bond was set at $75,000 for Ware and $50,000 for Ringo. Their next schedule court date is set for January 23, 2015 at the 44th District Court before the presiding Judge.
