The Starr Showcase Coffeehouse will be held on Saturday, January 17 from 7 – 10p in Fellowship Hall of Starr Presbyterian Church (corner of 13 Mile & Crooks Road). This benefit concert will raise funds to support the warming shelter at Starr Presbyterian Church — The warming shelter is an organization of local churches that take turns providing CFSEM-123-OaklandCounty115-digital-ad_v2overnight accommodations for the homeless during the winter months.

There is no cover charge, donations are accepted and are tax deductible.  Coffee, tea, beverages and a large variety of desserts are provided for attendees.  Great local talent will be performing this year including; Ron Coden – superb singer, guitarist, storyteller and entertainer; Black Mist – a talented irish and contemporary music trio and house band at the Old Shaleleigh pub in Detroit; Better Late than Never – the always eclectic and humorous folk trio from Royal Oak; The Sally Rae band – a local favorite.
