Details Revealed in Bus Stop Death Due to Suspected Drunk Driver

The man killed New Year’s Day by a drunk driver slamming into a bus shelter on Woodward near Euclid was a 23-year-old father of three named Mark Ross.
According to clickondetroit.com, Ross had stepped inside the bus shelter to talk to a friend he saw waiting for the bus there. Then, just before 9am, 23-year-old Korey Klimek of Ferndale crossed several lanes of traffic and hit the shelter.
Ross was killed and his friend was injured. According to the report, Kilmek’s brother said Korey had worked at the Filmore, an event facility in Downtown Detroit, on NewYear’s Eve. Police have charged Klimek with operating under the influence causing death and operating under the influence causing serious injury.
