25352 Woodward (L.A. Fitness), 12-29-14, 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole her coat, which contained her car keys, from the coat rack in the women’s locker room. 14-44416
5150 Coolidge (Meijer Department Store), 12-26-14, 11:45 – 11:47 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole an undisclosed amount of change from a vending machine in the lobby of Meijer. There was no damage to the vending machine. 14-44272
200 block of Edmund, 11-24-14 – 12-24-14, 12:00 p.m . – 1:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered her residence and stole five (5) rings, a charm bracelet, and two (2) necklaces from her jewelry box. There were no signs of forced entry. 14-44027 4949
Coolidge (William Beaumont Hospital Health Center), 12-30-14, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.: Complainant reported she left a bag containing a framed picture in an unlocked office. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had stolen it. 14-44573

500 block of Knowles, 12-27-14 – 12-28-14, 10:00 p. m. – 2:10 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his car in front of his residence. Sixth Street, 12-28-14, 1:15 a.m. – 2:30 a.m.: While investigating other malicious destruction of property complaints, officers located a strand of damaged Christmas lights lying in a driveway. Officers spoke to the homeowner and determined the lights were ripped down from the residents Christmas display by an unknown suspect. 14-44263

4251 E. Sixth Street and Irving, 12-28-14, 1:15 a.m. – 2:30 a.m.: While investigating other malicious destruction of property complaints, officers located a vehicle parked near the intersection with a damaged driver side mirror and notified the owner. 14-44268
318 W. Fourth Street (Royal Oak Music Theater), 12- 31-14, 11:58 p.m.: Complainant reported an intoxicated subject was escorted out of the business for disruptive behavior. He refused to leave the area and kicked the front door of the business causing the glass to break. The suspect was arrested without further incident. 14-44616
800 block of Hawthorne, 12-28-14 – 12-29-14, 6:00 p .m. – 7:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect slashed both driver side tires on his vehicle which was parked in his driveway. 14-44652
Larceny from Automobile
3601 W. Thirteen Mile (William Beaumont Hospital), 12-28-14 – 12-29-14, 6:30 p.m. – 7:40 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect broke out the passenger side window of her 2014 Chrysler Town & Country and stole her in-dash GPS unit. 14-44354 3601 W. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had broken the driver’s side window and stole a purse and shopping bag containing miscellaneous items from Bath and Body Works. 14-44324
3800 block of Mark Orr, 12-28-14, 5:20 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in his driveway. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had damaged the driver side door handle while trying to break into his car. 14- 44264
3500 block of Yorba Linda, 12-25-14 – 12-26-14, 10: 30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle in the driveway. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had entered the unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents. Nothing was reported stolen. 14-44039
Other Incidents and Information
825 E. Eleven Mile (Royal Motor Inn), 12-31-14, 6:2 8 a.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for Driving While License Suspended. The subject was arrested without incident. 14-44548
Malicious Destruction of Property: The Royal Oak Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspects responsible for damaging multiple cars, lamp posts, and Christmas displays on December 28, 2014. Between the hours of 1:15 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., two (2) individuals attacked multiple vehicles and homes on E. Sixth Street, Knowles, S. Gainsborough and E. Lincoln in Royal Oak. One suspect can be seen on a resident’s home security system. Suspect #1 is a white male in his early 20’s, medium build, wearing a Christmas sweater with two (2) reindeer and a star on the back. Suspect #2 is an unknown male with a medium build. At this time we have identified 13 homes or vehicle s as being damaged. Attached are still photographs of the suspect. Snow Emergency conditions are generally defined as a snowfall of four inches or more and will remain in effect until your street has been plowed. All vehicles on residential streets are to be removed or will be ticketed or to wed. Vehicles are to remain off the streets until plow trucks have gone through the area. Once a snow emergency is called and plowing begins, it takes approximately 24-36 hours to plow all city streets, depending on how much snow has fallen.
