Nino Salvaggios Donates Food for 500 in Oakland CountyHowesLocation

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace shared the holiday spirt this Christmas as they donated enough food to feed 500 for the holidays. The donations were given to Forgotten Harvest, which is based in Troy but serves several Oakland County communities, and Grace royal_servicesCenters of Hope, a Pontiac-based shelter. The family-owned grocery donated turkey and ham, and set up a program where customers could donate to hlep provide side items.

Among the gifts were 25 Winter’s Spiral Sliced Hams, 25 turkeys, 196 lbs of sweet potatoes, 84 lbs of brown sugar, 1990 lbs of Idaho potatoes, 186 lbs of green beans, 51 lbs of Nino’s Salad Greens and 15 gallons of Italian salad dressing.

Tracey Jackson, who is in Grace Center’s of Hope One Year Program, met with Kirk Taylor, President of Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace and others to talk about the program she is in through Grace Center of Hope, and thanked them for their generosity.
