Get Involved: Birmingham has Spots Open on Boards and Commissions

Citizens have an opportunity to share ideas and make a difference in their community by serving on City of Birmingham boards and committees. Those who serve help shape the future of the community by serving in an advisory capacity to the City Commission.
At this time, the City is seeking applicants for the following boards and committees:
Public Arts Board – Three Regular Members
Advisory Parking Committee – Downtown Employee Member
Board of Building Trades Appeal – Two Regular Members
Board of Review – Two Alternate Members, One Regular Member
Cablecasting Board – Two Regular Members, One Alternate Member
Housing Board of Appeals – Regular Member
Martha Baldwin Park Board – Male Member
Museum Board – Historical Society Member
Multi-Modal Transportation Board – Mobility or Vision Impairment Member
Those interested in serving on a board or committee in a voluntary capacity may submit an application to the City Clerk’s office. Applications will appear in the City Commission’s public agenda, at which time applicants will be interviewed by the City Commission.
