Downtown Pontiac was packed with energy for the 2014 Holiday Extravaganza Parade.  Pontiac and ctechadneighboring communities collaborate to host a grand parade with hundreds of people marching and thousands watching from the sidewalks.  Santa and Mrs. Claus were there, along with many children’s favorites like Nemo, Bert and Ernie, Shrek, Strawberry Shortcake, and Rudolph.  Elected officials rode in horse-drawn carriages while a team of female super heroes handed out stuffed animals to the children along the route.  Businesses also held special sales to welcome people to Downtown Pontiac. This was the 33rd year for the parade, which takes year-round planning and plenty of support from local businesses.
