Ferndale Resident Kayla White Killed in Car Crash Tuesday
(C. Proxmire, Nov. 12, 2014)
A Ferndale resident and 2009 FHS graduate Kayla White was killed in a car accident on Tuesday at 4:45pm. She had been traveling on northbound M-10 just north of the Telegraph exit when the driver of a 2002 Cadillac rear-ended White’s 2003 Jeep Liberty. The collison started a chain reaction, forcing the Jeep into a 2014 Nissan Cube, whcih then struck a 2015 Lincoln MKZ, according to CBs Detroit. White was pregnant with her first child, a boy whom she planned to name Braedin Joseph.
Family friend Becky Brown remembered Kayla, stating “I am a long time friend of Kayla’s Mother and Father Sue and Russ White. I was there the day she was born and will never forget the love she brought to everyone she came into contact with. I spoke to Susan as soon as I found out this morning and she is just devastated. If I could I would fly up there or even drive but funds are low. Kayla will be remembered as a beautiful, smart, funny, outgoing, cheerful, happy Mother to be and will never be forgotten.”
