Heroin Overdose Claims Life of Addison Twp. Man

UPDATE (10/24): At a family member’s request, the street has been removed from this police report.
INCIDENT: 21:30 Hrs. – Oct. 21 – Addison Township – Death Investigation/Overdose. #14-167086
SUMMARY: Deputies along with the Addison Township Fire Department responded to a residence [street removed at family member’s request]. for a possible drug overdose. The subject was located in an upstairs bedroom by his mother next to his bed unresponsive with a syringe in his right hand.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Addison Township Fire administered CPR and ran a strip. The subject was pronounced by a Dr. from Crittenton Hospital via telemetry Per the mother, the deceased has struggled for years with a heroin addiction and had been hospitalized two months ago for a heroin overdose. The Oakland County Medical Examiner responded and took custody of the deceased for an autopsy to be performed in the morning.

(DECEASED): 27 year old male, resident of Addison Township.
