Hazel Park Zombie Walk is a gathering of the undead to support local food pantries.

Description

Welcome Zombies: To the 6th annual Hazel Park Zombie Walk!

WHAT IS A ZOMBIE WALK, YOU ASK?

It’s when a bunch of zombies roam the streets, creating mild havoc and making a general spectacle gallowaycollens1of themselves. In addition, each walking zombie brings 3 canned good items to be donated to a local food pantry. There will be prizes for best dressed and for largest donation. In 2011 we had almost 500 zombies!

WHY:

Besides having a blast and freaking out the unsuspecting locals? We’ll be walking to raise awareness about world hunger, and to raise food and funds for a local food pantry.

HOW:

We ask that each zombie bring at least 3 cans of food. Even if you are not walking, your canned food will still be appreciated. nicholas-schrock-allstate

WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR EFFORTS?

Other than the chance to walk with the dead? A chance to feel good for the act of giving food to families in need!

WHEN:

SATURDAY OCTOBER 25TH, 2014 AT 6:30PM

WHERE:

We will meet at Hazel Park City Hall located at the north-east corner of Nine Mile and John R. The walk will start from there and make a huge square and end back at city hall.
