Woman’s Ex-Boyfriend Arrested for Madison Heights Arsonwaterwork

INCIDENT: 19:36hrs. June 20 – City of Madison Heights/Assist Fire Department – OCSO Fire Investigator Request / Arson  #14-93979

SUMMARY:  The Madison Heights Fire Marshall requested an OCSO Fire Investigator for a residential structure fire in the 800 block of E. Barrett, Madison Heights. The residence was unoccupied at the time and there were no injuries.

OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: An OCSO Fire Investigator responded to assist with the investigation. The investigation revealed that the fire was intentionally set by the homeowner’s ex-boyfriend. In fact, the suspect called the victim and stated that he was sidebar01sponsorgoing to burn down her house. The suspect was observed entering the rear of the residence with a gas can and subsequently observed exiting the front of the home while flames where seen at the rear of the residence. The suspect was located in City of Eastpointe and taken into custody by OCSO Fire Investigators. The responsible was lodged at Oakland County Jail on Arson charges. A warrant was issued by the Prosecutors Office for Second Degree Arson and he was nicholas-schrock-allstatesubsequently video arraigned in the 43rd District Court on the warrant and was given a $50,000 cash bond.  He remains in the Oakland County Jail pending his next court appearance.
