Show your pride at Pride Prom in Ferndale Public Library! Part of this year’s Ferndale Pride Festival, Pride Prom isJim Shaffer KELLER ad black presented by Friends of the Ferndale Library and will feature dancing, a live DJ, formal photos by Nan Kerr Mueller, a crowning of the royal court, and more!

The Pride Prom will be catered by local favorites such as Pinwheel Bakery and a fabulous Pride Punch will be served (yes, it will be spiked!). Beer from the Woodward Avenue Brewers, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. Free on-site babysitting will be provided by members of Ferndale High School’s Gay-Straight Alliance. The prom will be on Friday, May 30th from 8 to midnight. Pre-sale tickets are $25 each and may be purchased at http://ferndalefriends.org/prom.

All proceeds benefit the Ferndale Public Library and Ferndale Pride.

Friends of the Ferndale Library Special Events Coordinator Beth O’Connor describes the experience of working with the Pride planners as “spectacular.” “The organizers of Ferndale Pride have been extremely supportive and enthusiastic about the Prom. They have had a representative at every planning meeting that we’ve held, and they have provided invaluable PrideProm Library Friends Adsuggestions and assistance. We are confident that the event will be a smashing success, and we hope it becomes an annual part of the Pride tradition.”
