Charter School Evacuated Due to Student Texting Bomb Threat

INCIDENT: 16:00 hrs. April 29, 2014 – City of Pontiac- Bomb Threat #14-062531
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the 800 Block of Golf Drive (Creative School Services/ Michigan School for the Arts) for a potential bomb threat. A 14 year old student texted several of his classmates advising them “Get all the family out of the school before 4:23, don’t ask questions just do it.” Deputies arrived and the principal had the school evacuated. The rooms were checked by deputies and cleared. Waterford Regional Fire arrived and assisted.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The 14 year old suspect was found at his father’s house and then lodged at Children’s Village. Investigation Continues.
