Rochester Regional Chamber Launches Business Fitness Check Up
(RRC Press Release, April 20, 2014)
The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce launched a new small business resource tool in partnership with the Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC) to better assess the needs of small business members and connect them to local resources.
The ‘Business Fitness Check Up’ is a brief evaluation designed to provoke strategic assessment by a small business owner or manager of their organization’s strengths and weaknesses and then connect them directly to the Chamber or MI-SBDC for further consultation. “It’s an excellent tool for us to deliver to our membership,” Rochester Regional Chamber President Sheri Heiney says. “Whether your business is new or mature, strategically, these are questions you should always be asking yourself in order to get to the next level.”
In Michigan, the MI-SBDC enhances economic well-being by providing counseling, business education, secondary market research for new ventures, existing small businesses and advanced technology companies. Partnership with the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce seemed a natural result due to the Chamber’s very active business planning, organizational budgeting and marketing consulting program. The Business Fitness Check Up is just one of many resources available to small businesses which the Chamber and other organizations such as MI-SBDC and SCORE Counselors to America’s Small Business are seeking to better acquaint owners and managers of.
All members are encouraged to take the Business Fitness Check Up which can be found at the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce offices on 71 Walnut St. Suite 110 in Rochester or accessed through the Chamber’s website, www.rrc-mi.com, Business Resource tab.
The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce thanks their partners Oakland University, Crittenton Hospital Medical Center, Shelton Buick GMC, Fox Automotive Group, Genisys Credit Union, Boulevard Health Center, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Detroit Regional Chamber.
The Mission of the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce is to provide leadership by advancing business development in partnership with civic, cultural and educational interests for the benefit of its members and the community.
