Larceny from Automobile
1800 block of Torquay, 3-26-14 – 3-27-14, 5:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her 2004 Buick Rendevous in a parking lot. When she returned to her vehicle she discovered an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter. 14-9462
Unlawfully Driving Away of Automobile
W. Parent and Washington, 3-31-14, 2:55 p.m. – 9:35 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his 2004 Dodge Stratus on W. Parent west of Washington. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect stole his vehicle. 14-9945
Larceny
2400 block of Brockton, 3-29-14, 5:00 p.m. – 11:45 p.m.: Complainant reported she hosted a house party at her residence. She later discovered an unknown suspect stole a gold diamond ring and an antique white gold diamond ring from her jewelry box. 14-9880
Malicious Destruction of Property
1400 block of Ottawa, 3-28-14 – 3-29-14, 4:00 p.m. – 9:50 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle on the street. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect broke his driver’s side mirror. 14-9647
200 S. Center (Parking Structure), 3-31-14 – 4-1-14, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle on the third level of the Center Street parking structure.
When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect keyed the driver side of her vehicle.

S. Sherman and Lafayette, 3-28-14 – 3-29-14, 9:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle in a parking lot. When she returned to her vehicle she discovered an unknown suspect keyed the driver’s side and hood of her vehicle. 14-10039
Other Incidents
Main Street and Ten Mile, 3-30-14, 12:29 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a hit and run accident at Ten Mile and Main Street. The victim called 911 and stated a blue Chevrolet Cruze struck her vehicle and fled the area.
Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle on westbound I-696 and stopped the vehicle.
The driver, a 25-year-old Farmington Hills resident, was arrested for failure to stop and identify after an accident. Neither driver was injured. 14-9742
29500 block of Woodward, 3-29-14, 8:24 p.m.: Officers responded to assist the Royal Oak Fire Department with a small trash fire in a vacant lot. The lot is used periodically for outdoor sales of landscaping supplies. The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.
Further investigation revealed workers were cleaning the lot earlier in the day and stacked trash and pallets for removal which caught fire. The fire inspector is investigating the incident.
