Suspected Heroin Overdose Sends Rochester Hills Man to Hospital

INCIDENT: 01:30 hrs. March 11- City of Rochester Hills Possible Overdose #14-035484
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the 1600 block of Willowood for an unconscious subject in the bathroom. A 20-year old resident of the home was lying on the floor with his head against the inside of the door to the bathroom and appeared to be unconscious. Deputies forced entry into the bathroom by breaking out the exterior window and knocking the door to the bathroom off its hinges. The subject had shallow respiration and his lips were blue. Deputies opened an airway to establish breathing. The subject became conscious but confused and he denied using any narcotics. According to his parents who also reside at this residence their son has a history of drug use and attempted suicide by cutting his arm approximately a year ago. A small folded card containing a white powdery substance was found inside the subject’s wallet. The powder field tested positive for Heroin. The substance found in the subject’s wallet was placed into evidence for additional testing. Investigation continues.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The subject was transferred via ambulance to William Beaumont Hospital in Troy where he is reported to be in stable condition at this time.
