As part of the annual Ferndale Blues and Music Festival, Jazz Bands from Ferndale Middle School and Ferndale High School played a special concert at Treat Dreams.  Parents and supporters enjoyed the student performances, as well as the custom ice cream and doughnut flavors that Treat Dreams is famous for.  Both bands have new leadership and the students have not had much time to practice due to the multiple snow days.  They considered this performance to be just their fourth practice together!

The Ferndale Blues and Music Festival continues through Saturday, with a variety of musical performers at multiple bars, restaurants and other venues.  Tonight there is another family-friendly show at the Ferndale Public Library, and tomorrow is the Rib Burn Out in the parking lot behind Dino’s Lounge.  Check out http://www.ferndalebluesfestival.org for the full schedule.  The event raises money for Ferndale Youth Assistance and Michigan AIDS Coalition.
