Police Report: School Bus Driver Assaulted by Brandon Twp. High Alt. Ed. Student

On 1/20/14 at approximately 2:30PM a Brandon High School Alternative Education student assaulted a bus driver on a High School bus. The incident was not immediately reported to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
· The 16 year old suspect boarded the wrong bus and the bus driver asked the student to exit the bus and a verbal confrontation ensued that led to a physical altercation and the bus driver being assaulted and then elbowed in the nose causing a bloody nose.
· The victim was treated at the scene by Brandon Twp. Fire Department and refused any further medical treatment.
· The victim is a 62 year old male Brandon Twp. resident and the suspect is suspended from school pending investigation.
· Witnesses are being interviewed.
· Investigation continues by Sheriff’s detectives from the Sheriff’s Brandon Twp. Substation and the case it to be reviewed by the OC Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges.
