Ferndale Library Announces Blues Festival Show Jan. 31JudyPalmer01

(FPL Press Release, Jan. 19, 2014)

The Ferndale Public Library is partnering once again with the Bud Light Ferndale Area Blues Festival to showcase two Michigan bands; the funky, bluesy Bastion and The Free Life, a quirky, proto-punk outfit from Kalamazoo. The show will take the place of the First Stop Friday show which would have taken place Street-Eatzz-Adthe following Friday. “I thought it was a good opportunity to join forces with the very successful Blues Festival,” said Kelly Bennett, who has been running live music shows at the library for three years. “The festival gets to add a centrally located venue and our show gets to be a part of a bigger event.” The now-famous blue pig will be at the Library event, collecting donations for charity. The show, which begins at 7:00pm, is open to all ages.
