Fido Does Ferndale Shows Power of Puppy Love
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Oct. 18, 2013)
There are many things that bring a community together, and Ferndale has gotten good at catering to them. Like dogs for instance. Each year the Ferndale DDA, led by volunteer Andrea Johns, hosts Fido Does Ferndale.
Fido Does Ferndale brings out dog-owners of all types to mingle, get to know canine-related businesses and groups, and to compete in fun contests. This year’s winners competed for owner-look-alikes, best costume, best trick, and best Detroit dog.
Despite a chilly, rainy day, dozens of four-legged friends came out to share in Ferndale’s puppy love on Oct. 17.
