Families Enjoy Ferndale All-District Fall Festival

Families Enjoy Ferndale All-District Fall Festival essential

(Crystal Proxmire, Oct. 13, 2013)

Ferndale Schools held their annual All-District Fall Festival at Kennedy School in Oak Park on Oct. 12.  Children and grown-ups of all ages packed the halls and lawn to enjoy various fall-themed activities.  The Haunted Hallway had kids shrieking in delight, while others laughed joyfully in the bounce house, giant slide, and rock-climbing wall.  Games had youngsters testing their skills in batting, throwing, and balloon-popping.  Kids got fake tattoos, hair color and face painting and there was plenty of food and fun.  The inexpensive event helped raise money for the schools, as did a table full of baskets put together with gifts from local businesses to be auctioned off. Parents and teachers volunteered to make the event special for the families.
