Royal Oak Police: Delivery Driver Leaves Van with Prescriptions Running and Unlocked, And…

On September, 24, 2013, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a dark green 1998 Pontiac Montana with Michigan Plate G7953H was stolen from the Meijer’s Department Store parking lot located at 5150 Coolidge.
The driver of the vehicle was making a delivery of prescription drugs when the vehicle was stolen. The driver parked the vehicle in front of the southwest doors and left the vehicle unlocked with the engine running while he entered Meijer to make the delivery.
When he returned to the vehicle, he observed the delivery van pull away, exit the parking lot and head south on Coolidge.
The stolen vehicle contained up to $20,000.00 worth of prescription drugs, including Vicodin and animal tranquilizers, as well as payroll checks valued at over $30,000.00.
A review of the surveillance video identified two (2) subjects of interest. Subject #1 was described as a black male, 6’0”-6’2”, 200-220 lbs. He was wearing brown boots, blue jeans, blue shirt with a white undershirt, a gray and blue Champion jacket with “Champion” on the back and a black and red baseball cap with a “C” on it.
Subject #2 was described as a black male, 5’10”-6’0”, 180-200 lbs. He was wearing black shoes, black pants, a black shirt, black hooded jacket with a red hood and an Atlanta Braves baseball hat. Subject # 2 also appears to be missing a front left tooth.
A $2,000.00 reward is being offered to anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individuals involved.
