Back for the third year, Pig & Whiskey returns to downtown Ferndale for a full weekend of BBQ, whiskey sampling, beer guzzling and outdoor entertainment! Metro Times is partnering with Woodward Avenue Brewers (WAB) to close East Troy Street for this summer event. After a successful weekend in 2012, Pig & Whiskey is back for 2.5 days of fun
-Friday, July 19th, 6PM – Midnight — KICK-OFF PARTY
-Saturday, July 20th, 11AM – Midnight
-Sunday, July 21st, 11AM – 11PM
Pig & Whiskey will showcase Southeast Michigan’s best barbecue restaurants while highlighting unique and delicious pork, beef and barbecue dishes. Furthermore, there will be over 40 varieties of bourbon, scotch, and whiskey brands available to sample. There will also be multiple beer tents for Street Eatzz Adthose seeking an alternative to whiskey. Food and beverage will be available for cash purchase.
Back this year is the wildly popular “Cocktail Corner” tent featuring the finest whiskey cocktails from local bartenders.
Pig & Whiskey will also feature an exciting line-up of entertainment each night! The Appleseed Cast, The Hounds Below, Flint Eastwood, Tunde Olaniran, The Blueflowers, The Muggs, Nice Hooves, The HandGrenades, The Raw Dealers and many more will be there!
