One Dead, Six Injured in Pontiac Shooting at Fireworks Show

A 35-year-old man has been arrested following a shooting that left a 33-year-old Pontiac man dead and six people injured, including the victim’s six-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son, according to a report in The Detroit Free Press.
The report says a man shot into the crowd after a dispute with the victim. Two Pontiac women were shot in the legs, a 28-year-old Pontiac man was shot in the hip and forearm, and a 23-year-old Pontiac man was shot in the leg. The incident happened just after 11 pm in front of Perry’s Place Liquor, where Oakland County Sheriffs say several hundred people gathered to watch fireworks being set off by store employees.
