World History lesson at DIA for UHS seniorsbaby01

(Ferndale Schools, May 9, 2013)

Seniors from the world History & Geography classes at University High School spent a gorgeous spring day exploring and “scavenger-hunting” artwork displayed at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Mr. Ynclan, along with parent chaperones and student teacher Mercedes Harvey, led the group through the DIA as the culmination to year-long study of cultures around the world. The students used their camera phones to find (and record) various pieces of art from 12 distinct cultures.
