Police Report: Woman on Stolen Motorcycle

On 11/05/12 at about 11:50 p.m. a Ferndale officer made a traffic stop on a motorcycle and found the woman rider was on a stolen bike. The officer first noticed the motorcycle stopped at s.b. Pinecrest and Marshall for a traffic signal. When the light turned green, the bike began  s.b. but was stalled out. The driver restarted it and drove s.b. traveling about 48 mph in a 30 mph.

When the officer approached the driver, she said that she had no paperwork for the motorcycle. The officer was suspicious of her answers and discovered that the 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen out of Auburn Hills.

The woman was arrested and is being charged with Receiving and Concealing a Stolen Motorcycle.

SUSPECT: SHABAZZ, Sareasa Majeedah, 28 yrs, b/f, Ann Arbor resident.

She was arraigned by Magistrate Brennan who set bond at $5000 cash/surety.
