Nov. 6 Voting Information

Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 is an election day, and voters in Ferndale have several races and ballot proposals to cast their votes on.

The polls will be open 7:00am until 8:00pm. All polling places are handicap accessible. Braille and audio versions of voting instructions are available at the polling places listed on the Polling Locations page of the City of Ferndale website.

Ferndale’s Precinct Map shows how the City is divided into seven (7) voting precincts.

Absentee ballots for the election are available to registered voters at the Office of the City Clerk, 300 E. Nine Mile Road. The deadline for the City Clerk’s Office to receive applications for ballots to be mailed is 2:00pm Saturday, November 3, 2012.
You can download the Application here.  The City Clerk’s Office will be open for the purpose of absent voting on  Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 9:00am to 2:00pm

Persons qualified to vote by absentee ballot may obtain a ballot in person at the City Clerk’s Office until 4:00pm Monday, November 5, 2012. Ballots obtained in person on Monday, November 5, 2012 must be voted in the City Clerk’s Office.

The purpose of the Election is to elect candidates to the following offices:

Presidential

President and Vice-President of the United States

Congressional

United States Senator, Representative In Congress (9th District)

Legislative

Representative In State Legislature (27th District)

State Boards

State Board of Education, University of Michigan Board of Regents, Michigan State University Board of Trustees, Wayne State University Board of Governors

County

County Executive, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk/Register Of Deeds, Treasurer, Drain Commissioner and County Commissioner

Judicial

Justice of the Supreme Court
Judge of Court of Appeals – 2nd District
Judge of Circuit Court – 6th Circuit
Judge of Probate Court
Judge Of District Court – 43rd District

Community College

Oakland Community College Board Of Trustees

Local School Districts

Ferndale Public Schools Board Members (Ferndale Precincts 1 – 5)
School District of the City of Hazel Park Board Members (Ferndale Precincts 6 & 7)
