Are you interested in saving money and staying warm this winter? Then join the Ferndale Environmental Sustainability Commission for the Green Tuesday Seminar Series on Tuesday, October 11th, from 6:30-8:00pm at the Ferndale Library (222 E 9 Mile Rd in Ferndale) to learn more about how to weatherize your home for the winter and save money and electricity in the process.
Jacob Corvidae of Detroit Based WARM Training Center (www.warmtraining.org) will teach about no-cost and low-cost approaches to saving energy at home. Corvidae will provide attendants with information on air sealing techniques and tools, insulation, furnace and water heater improvements, energy use behavior, shopping for efficiency and incentives and financing available for energy improvements.
The Ferndale Environmental Sustainability Commission’s Green Tuesday Seminar Series is aimed at providing local residents with the information they need to become better stewards of the environment. The seminars are held the second Tuesday of most months at the Ferndale Library (222 E 9 Mile Rd in Ferndale) from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The seminars are FREE and open to public (you need not be a Ferndale resident to attend).
