Police Report:  Marijuana Grow House Busted, CVS Has CD Stolen

(Lt. William Wilson, Ferndale Police)

10-2270 – Marijuana Grow House

On 09/25/10 at approx. 0410 a.m. police responded to the 400 block of W. Chesterfield on complaints of a barking dog. Officers arrived at a home with a barking dog in the back yard. They tried knocking on doors and windows, but  nobody answered. The police noticed a door to the house was opened. Concerned for the welfare of anybody inside, police entered the home. They found a 44 year old man asleep and hard to wake on the couch. In the house officers noticed signs of a marijuana grow operation, including a grocery bag partially filled with suspected marijuana. After police got the suspect to wake up, he allowed them to look through the home. Officers found that the basement was set up as a grow operation for marijuana. The Oakland County Narcotics Team (NET) was called to continue the investigation. Once the investigation is completed, it will be turned over to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s office for review.
